About Lydia

Lydia learned the meaning of holistics at an early age. Although her gymnastics carrier was short-lived, she has never forgotten the lessons imbued by her coaches:

Feeling off-balance?
• Maybe you need to stretch.
• Always breathe.
• Move with intention.
• And, drink plenty of water.

At the age of 17, Lydia received her first theapeautic massage; and has since, made it a regular part of her routine. Today, on her own time, she also practices core strengthening and yoga. Lydia advocates any form of practice that strengthens the body, restores energy and balance, and stresses the importance of the breath. She makes it a point drink plenty of water throughout the day, as well.

Lydia has sought to find health and balance in her life. Through intentional practice, she has overcome perceived obstacles and has welcomed challenge in her life. Finding health for herself in holistic body work, Lydia has not only gained strength, but purpose in her life.

Lydia believes that the body has the innate capacity to heal itself. By taking the time to examine different aspects of her life and honestly identifying what works and what doesn’t, she has been able to re-connect with the essence of who she is. By confronting so-called hereditary diseases like asthma and psoriasis holistically, Lydia has been able to get to the core of much of her body/mind dis-ease.

What Lydia really loves is working with people and has always sought careers that empowered her to help others. For five years Lydia worked as a Registered Dental Assistant before returning to school at the age of 27 to achieve her 4-year degree. Lydia continued to volunteer 6 months following graduation in one of the two Outreach programs which she participated during her studies at UCLA. She received her BA in Sociology in 2002. A year later she received her certification in Intuitive Massage Therapy from the Hands on Healing Institute in Tujunga, with further studies in Myofascial Release, Thai Yoga Massage, Structural Kinesiology and Anatomy.

Lydia is a natural body worker who took to massage therapy immediately. Because she is always in search of the perfect massage, she receives so much body work, herself. In fact, you might say that massage took to her. By the time she completed her certification program, Lydia already had started her own practice. She received additional experience working at the Massage Company in Pasadena, where she helped a variety of individuals with a number of therapeautic needs, and where she enjoyed the freedom to refine her own approach to massage, build up her strength and build on her experience.

A couple of years into her career, Lydia was asked to join the team at Pro Fitness Network in Pasadena. This offered her the perfect professional setting that incorporated good health and fitness with a healthy mind and spirit. After a few years working with Carina and her team, her job there was done, and Lydia moved on to focus her energy on her growing practice in Glendale.

To this day, Lydia networks with a wealth of hand picked healthcare professionals across Pasadena, Glendale, La Crescenta, La Canada, Montrose and Burbank. If you need a referral, Lydia knows just who to get you connected with. She works closely with a variety of holistic health care professionals: including chiropractors, acupuncturists, personal palates and yoga trainers, hypnotherapists, marriage and family counselors, naturopaths, physical therapists and medical doctors.

If you are feeling the need to take a healthier more natural approach to life, join Lydia on her path to wellness. Give her a call, today. It's time you received help from someone who is doing it, herself.
